The 1995-96 NBA season was the Warriors' 50th season in the NBA and 34th in the San Francisco Bay Area.〔(1995-96 Golden State Warriors )〕 The Warriors won the draft lottery and selected power forward Joe Smith from the University of Maryland with their first overall pick. They also added former Chicago Bulls point guard B.J. Armstrong to their roster. Midway through the season, Tim Hardaway and Chris Gatling were traded to the Miami Heat for Kevin Willis and Bimbo Coles. The Warriors finished sixth in the Pacific Division with a 36-46 record. ==Offseason==
